Dr. Murat BERKKANOĞLU (Fertility and endocrinology specialist)


is a practicing fertility specialist at Antalya IVF, competent in all aspects of assisted conception and infertility surgery. He joined Antalya IVF in 2004 as a qualified obstetrician gynecologist with sub-speciality in fertility and endocrinology. His major interests are assisted reproduction technologies, hysteroscopic surgery, endometriosıs and male infertility.

Education

He completed his training as medical doctor at Cerrahpaşa English Medical Faculty in 1995, following that participated in the internship program of the Worcester Royal Hospital, Birmingham University, Birmingham, England and went onto to complete his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynecology with speciality Fertility at SSK Bakirkoy Maternity Hospital, Istanbul, ın 2001.  He then enrolled in a post-doctorate degree in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Yale University, New Haven Connecticut, USA which he completed  in 2004. . He has been an clinical observer to IVF practice at a number of international clinics; in 2001 at the IVF Center of the Florence Nigthingale Hospital, Kadir Has University, Istanbul, in 2005 at the Co-culture laboratory of the Pennsylvania Abyngton Hospital IVF Centre, Philedelphia, USA, and in 2008 at the Boston IVF centre, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA.

He is the principal author and co-author of a number of peer-reviewed publications in internationally recognized assisted reproduction technology journals and has also presented studies at international and national meetings. His current research interests are focussed on assisted reproductive technologies and the molecular aspects of endometriosis.
